Workvoice: turning a site walkthrough into a paid invoice
A Poland-based startup built an agentic OS that listens to a technician on site and turns the visit into a priced, compliant, billable job before the van leaves.
I went looking for AI applied somewhere far from chatbots and coding agents, and field service trades turned out to be a good place to look. Workvoice, a small Poland-based team, starts from a plain observation: a technician who just fixed a boiler or serviced a fire extinguisher often spends more time writing up the visit than doing the actual work.
Here is what the product does. While the technician talks through the job on site, describing what was replaced and why, the app captures voice, photos, video, QR codes, and equipment nameplates. It transcribes and structures all of that into a compliant record: a quote or change order with live supplier pricing, a compliance report checked against the relevant standard (NFPA, ISO, F-gas), and, when needed, a preventive maintenance schedule for that asset, all before the van leaves the site.
The clever part is what happens in the background. Workvoice keeps a knowledge base of every past job, so it can surface the exact history of that boiler, the right page of the manufacturer's manual, or a similar fault resolved elsewhere, at the moment a technician needs it. Closure is detected automatically by geolocation, so nobody has to remember to mark a job done.
The numbers, drawn from pilot deployments, are concrete: 68% of quotes drafted on site during a walkthrough get approved, since the client sees a priced job in under a minute instead of next week. Technicians handle 20 to 30% more jobs once admin work drops close to zero, and operations teams reportedly manage two to three times more buildings with the same headcount.
What stays with me is how unglamorous the target is. Not a flashy conversational assistant, just paperwork nobody wants to do, and that is often exactly where AI earns its keep. I would not be surprised if this pattern, voice and photos in, structured billable work out, shows up soon in plumbing, electrical, or any trade still running on carbon-copy job sheets.
